Tribunal Verdict: Adesokan Congratulates Fayemi On His Victory.

...urge him to remain focused in his bid to give our people the deserved dividends of democracy.

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, and Chairman Cost and Capital Consulting Ltd, Hon. Ade Adesokan has congratulated governor Kayode Fayemi on his victory at the election petition Tribunal.

The petition against Fayemi was filed by the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in the governorship election of July 14, 2018, Prof Kolapo Olusola.

But the Justice Suleiman Belgore led Tribunal on Monday struck out the petition filed by Olusola, a former deputy governor and ex-governor Ayodele Fayose's political protégé, for lack of merit.

In a statement he personally signed in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday, Adesokan saluted the courage displayed by the tribunal members, in spite of the spirited attempts made by the PDP to browbeat them and make them pervert justice.

The APC chieftain described the thoroughness and judicial astuteness of the jurists as reflected in the judgment as outstanding, saying this substantiated the fact judiciary remains the hope of the common man.

"The judgment has taught the PDP a big lesson that lies and darkness cannot triumph over the truth and light.

"Ekiti people trooped out on July 14, 2018, to vote for Governor Fayemi only for the PDP to start fabricating lies that INEC allotted votes to APC.

"But the outcome of the Tribunal had shamed those who believed that they could acquire power through the backdoor by rubbishing judicial officers and make them bow to their whims and caprices.

"Rather than being swayed by their antics, the tribunal unanimously dismissed the allegation of fraud levels against governor Kayode Fayemi and our party in the petition.

"I want to congratulate Fayemi and urge him to remain focused in his bid to give our people the deserved dividends of democracy.

"The opposition too must realize that there is no other state to call ours and they must work with the government of the day for Ekiti of our dream to come to fruition", he advised.
