National Association of Ondo State Students(NAOSS NATIONAL BODY) holds Leadership Summit; Launch Incentives and Honors Leaders.

Towards positioning Ondo Students for a glorious tomorrow where their educational needs and financial needs among others are met, the National Association of Ondo State Students under the Leadership of Comr. Akeredolu Emmanuel Olanrewaju, held the Ondo 2019 Students Summit/ Commissioning of Over 5000 Notebooks and Incentives at the Adekunle Ajasin Auditorium, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo. 

The Theme of the event “Honoring the Past, Treasuring the Present and Shaping the Future” allowed great men who have excelled in their various careers and businesses to share the stories of their journey to success. 

While delivering his keynote address, Chief Alex Ajipe, Chief Executive Officer, KLICK KONNECT NETWORKS, encouraged the Youth and Students present, to work hard and believe in themselves. 

“If you want to be taken seriously you need to be able to do the work. You can be your best champion. It is not about the result, it is the process. Every situation presents an opportunity to grow, it may not be palatable but it is necessary” he said. 

 While delivering the Chairman's address, Barr Banji Alabi, the Chairman Governing Council, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo who was represented by the Rector of the Institution Mr Ogundahunsi G.A, urged the youth and Students to take advantage of the huge income-generating opportunities in the nation’s agricultural sector in order to halt the growing unemployment rates in the country. 

Comr Akeredolu while addressing pressmen confirmed that the association has concluded plans to distribute Over 10000 exercise books to schools located across the 18local Government in the state. 

He said, "These exercise books will be distributed to ensure each student can at least have five exercise books to themselves in order to further their education. In our on-going effort to alleviate the dearth of school supplies in many schools across the state, the leadership of the association has embarked on this project to distribute school supplies to selected schools in our dear Sunshine state. This will be done in order to not only further the educational experience of the pupils but also relieve some financial burden from their parents so that they could invest in other aspects of their children’s education". 

Other notable Special Guest of Honour present at the event are: Dr Mrs. Omowumi Ilawole, The Special Adviser to the Governor on Education; Hon Banji Adewunmi, Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth and Students; Dr Felix Olawoye, Provost Ondo State College of Health Technology, Chief of Staff to the Speaker, Ondo State House Of Assembly, Hon Olumuyiwa Asagunla, Former Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth and Students, Rep to Hon Fatai Lawal the Special Assistant to the Governor on Natural Resources; Rep to Hon Mayowa Adebiyi ANGELMAYOR; Engr. Israel Taiwo Southwest, No 1Mikrotic, Sisco and Huawei Certified Network Engineer; Obanoyen Abiola ADIDAS, Foremost Youth and Students leader, Lecturer and a Quantity Surveyor; former National Presidents and past leaders of NAOSS present are Comr. Dayo Temola, Hon. Oguntoyinbo Victor Comr Awodola Simon, Comr Iwakun Adeolu Charles amongst others.

Furthermore, Akeredolu advised other notable stakeholders and well-meaning individuals to take a cue from NAOSS and reach out to the students as this ease the burden on delivering quality education to our good people of Ondo state.
